Sorry I've been so out of it lately folks. I've been working 50-60hours a week, and I'm about to slip off for more.

Yesterday was an odd day. Someone quit work...because of me...partially anyway.

He couldn't deal with my trans-ness, he worked fine with me before he found out. Was quite friendly in fact, but one way or another he found out while I wasn't at work when asking questions about my name (It still shows as Richard in Domino's records). He was utterly floored and flabbergasted at the explanation and started ranting about being a 'good catholic' to at least one of the other employees and said he didn't stand for such things.

I am indeed a queen of drama.

Dragon metal is on for tonight, as long as I am not held too long for work!

A "good catholic?"

The only good catholics are lapsed catholics and ex-catholics. =};-3

This is a little cold, but it sounds to me like the right thing happened. He couldn't integrate you into his belief structure, which was certainly his problem and not yours, and he removed himself from the situation rather than *make* it your problem. I probably wouldn't much care for this dude, but it seems to me that he reacted the right way.

Yeah, but it's still not a very Christian thing to do. Yeah, maybe his Catholicism obliges him to think of Pathia as a sinner (if only he knew the half of it! ;) ), but that in no way at all obliges him to leave her presence or refuse to work side-by-side with her. Christ made a point of keeping the company of sinners, prostitutes, outcasts, and worldly people, in order to set an example. If nothing else, under the tenets of his own religion, the guy is paving his own road to hell by refusing to be a mature, patient, appealing examplar of Christian behavior. Poor bastard -- even if he's right, he's screwed. His religious obligations include meekness and charity, and in my interpretation that excludes the freedom to avoid people's company on fake religious grounds. Christ called it a narrow road for a reason.

It's a good thing my religion only obliges me to throw tiny gherkins at her and think obscene thoughts while straddling a bowling ball. *pelt* *think* *roll*

Well jeez, if you're going to start talking about what Christ actually taught...

Yeah. I probably would've still been a Christian if anybody had bothered to tell me half the New Testament was an elaborate ruse. I thought they were serious! I tried to follow all the joke stuff about meekness and charity, when it turns out the important things were my country, the location of my cock, and my proximity to other people's cocks all along. :p

He quit so you wouldn't have to work with a transphobic fuckhead... what a selfless act.

But,

At the same time it's more confirmation that you don't much sound, act, or look like *Richard* anymore. If he had no idea...then you're doing very very well.

Uhh... that's a GREAT reason to quit your job... >_>
Twit.
His loss.

Don't burn yourself out, Pathia! Working is only good for you in moderation! =D *winks*

Wow. What a moron. Sounds to me like you're well shot of him. You should be glad you don't need to work with someone as narrow-minded as that rather than blaming yourself for HIS prejudices.

Quite spiffy.

I tried to keep a jakyl to myself on SMT Blue, but Tersi-s are hard to tame.

I exist over on Taps now.. Different than the vix I used to be, but not dramatically so. Maybe we'll bump into each other sometime. n.n
