No dice. Every store within 50miles got almost nothing. I was in line at a EB Games, about 20th of 50. They only got four units and didn't expect any for another two weeks. The local gamestop is preordered until somewhere around december 15th.

My guess is why it's so fucking hard for me to snag one compared to some of the rest is...I live in the suburbs of DC. Every single gamestop/eb games/walmart gets a line by close the evening before the next shipment. There must be some sort of information network I'm not aware of going on. However, I actually have a life so I refuse to stand in line for more than 30minutes heh.

Expect both consoles to be readily available in mass quantities by January. Until there, there's plenty of games out for the older systems to catch up on.

Well, it was clear a while back that there wouldn't be many Wiis available at launch. I think most stores everywhere had people showing up three to five hours before they opened, at least if reports from blogs like Kotaku are anything to go by.

Don't worry, though. Unlike the PS3, the Wiis -are- being produced en masse. Should be possible to get one before Christmas, at least!

The PS3's are produced en masse too. Tis the blu-ray laser diodes that hold up everything, so Sony has to wait/is left with thousands of unfinished PS3's.

I'm still really curious why people need the Wii/360/PS3 RIGHT NOW!

It's silly :)

No, it's an 'all my friends are talking about how awesome it is and I can't play it' thing. :)

Because my consoles are collecting dust. I have absolutely no desire to play any of the games that have come out recently. However, Twilight Princess draws me.

Okami makes me motion sick. I have no idea why, I don't get carsick, airsick, rollercoaster sick (in fact I love them), yet it makes me sick.

A friend of mine could have picked one up at launch, but waited a few days because he had an important paper due Monday, and another due Tuesday. Now he probably won't get one until near Christmas.

...He admits he still probably made the wise decision, as there was no way he would have made those deadlines with a shiny new piece of Nintendo Fun around.
